Volunteers take note!

The Alumnae Relations Committee (ARC) is looking for your nominations for:

• the Young Alumnae Loyalty Award (for alumnae who graduated 10 years or less before the date of the coming reunion); and
• the Loyalty Award (for a member of any class holding a reunion in May 2007).

Your nominee should be a volunteer who has demonstrated longstanding commitment to supporting one area of volunteerism, such as Classes, Clubs and Affiliate Groups; Admissions; Development; or specific work/special projects for the Alumnae Association or MHC. We are looking for the unsung heroes in your areas. Find out more about the awards on the Alumnae Association Web site, or access the online nomination form. The deadline for nominations is January 15, 2007.

Class and club research:

• In the year since it was formed the Alumnae Relations Committee (ARC) has been busy helping a number of area clubs learn more about their constituents. In collaboration with volunteer leaders, the ARC has conducted e-mail and e-mail/mail combination surveys custom-designed to help each group better understand what alumnae want. We are ready to do the same for your group!
• Gianna Allentuck '93, former president of the DC Club, had this to say about her experience: "I have had the recent privilege to collaborate with the ARC on our DC Club survey. I so much appreciate the committee's efforts in making what could have been a difficult process into a painless and productive endeavor. Our club has been working these past months to rebuild and rejuvenate our presence, and now, having received such great assistance from the ARC, I am confident we are back on the road to greatness here in DC."
